As Vintage Longbottom takes the next step on its family journey, the natural transition was to make a fresh start also in the winemaking department.
With its wines true to style and delivering dependable, full-bodied, full flavoured expressions of classic Australian red and white varieties, Kim and Margo have held tightly to that same philosophy while shifting to new regional sourcing.
Under the watchful eye of renowned winemaker Matt Wenk, the Henry’s Drive range will maintain its classic shiraz-focused characters though clearly there will be a subtle regional evolution.
The H Range
—
Elegant and contemporary cool-climate varieties, grown and crafted in the Adelaide Hills to excite your senses.
The H range was always made to be a little outside the square in Padthaway terms, and a move to the Adelaide Hills for fruit sourcing makes these wines even more exciting with their elegant, leaner and edgier characters front of mind.
The H range now consists of a sauvignon blanc and chardonnay sourced from one of the most distinctive, older and higher-altitude vineyards in the Lenswood district, while a syrah (shiraz) designed in a cool climate style, is harvested from well documented sites around Nairne and Oakbank.
Vintage Longbottom also has moved its home base to the Hills, within the Tapanappa winery complex in the Piccadilly Valley, putting Kim and Margo in the frame every day to achieve a total and natural transition towards the future.
